I've noticed some strange date behavior with the blog module.  I posted a blog entry earlier today and after posting I noticed that the date was incorrect.  It turned out that the date on the web server was off (which has since been corrected).  Anyway, I edited the blog entry and manually set the date to 11/10/2005 and saved.  The AddedDate field in the Blog_Entries table got updated to reflect the date I entered but the date still shows up incorrect on the web page.  I've done everything I can think of short of forcing an app restart by editing web.config.  I've cleared the cache in my browser and in DNN to no avail.  Where else might it be getting this erroneous date from?

Which date format are you using ?

Try out to use a date format which display the date and the time (you must setup in blog settings).

Have then a look what date/time will be displayed and if needed correct it.

I was using the default date format that didn't show the time. I changed the format to one that did show the time and that did the trick.  Thanks...

I think I know what happened.  If memory serves, SQL server assumes a time of midnight  if you insert a date that doesn't include a time.  Since my host is in Eastern time (GMT-5) and I'm in Central time (GMT-6), and I set my portal to use Central time zone, it was displaying 11/10/2005 00:00:00 minus 1 hour or 11/9/2005 23:00:00.

You are absolutely right., that is the reason why I prefer to use a date format which display date and time.
