Hello,

When I add a new module, by default DNN puts a printer icon on the bottom right corner of the module container.  I already know how to remove that icon by changing the module Settings.  I was wondering if anyone knew how to change it so that the icon does not show up by default when I create a new module.  I do not want the printer icon to appear by default.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Mk

there are two options to achieve this

  • save the module settings as default (there is a link far down in the settings page)
  • remove the action command from the container (please refer to the skinning guide for details)

Hello Leupold,  Thank you a lot for your help.  I tried the first option and it worked fine!  I was wondering if you also happen to know the answer to this question

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/ForumsDotNetNuke/tabid/795/forumid/118/threadid/94107/scope/posts/Default.aspx

I have posted it a while ago in 2 different sections but I have not gotten any response yet.

Thank you once again!!

Hi Senbastian,

I have change the Settings of my module containers as follows:

  • Visibility:  (none)
  • Allow Print?: (unchecked)

I have selected this as default settings and now, when I create a new module I do not see the print icon anymore. However, the (-) visibility icon  Minimize  keeps appearing in the new modules even though I seleted  Visibility: (none) as default setting.

I was wondering if you knew how to solve this.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Mk

this sounds strange, how is visibility implemented in your container?
