I am getting javascript error - WebForm_PostBackOptions undefined when trying to update Module Settings on a hosted server -- not Windows Authentication.

There is another thread with the same error but under a different condition:

"I am getting javascript error - WebForm_PostBackOptions undefined while access the web site using windows authentication. This site works fine if i remove the windows authentication. Does anyone have any idea? I tried to copy webresource.axd file but in vain."

Has anyone else experienced either one of these errors?

How do I resolve it? (mine is not windows authentication)

What Dotnetnuke version is that? If it is 4.4.0 disable all performance options in the host settings like compression, whitespace removal and viewstate storage.

It's 4.4.0; I disabled compression and whitespace filter.  I couldn't find viewstate storage but if you are referring to Page State Persistence, I even changed that from Page to Memory and with all these changes, after clearing the cache and restarting the application, the error remians when I try to update module settings.  Page State Persistence needs to be page anyway for some modules I have use viewstate.

Clear the cache of your browser also and the proxy if you use that.

OK, that worked; thank you very much for your help!

Does this mean there is a bug in one of the dnn performance settings?  Should this be entered into Gemini?

I did set the viewstate back to page instead of memory and that works fine.

Any others experience this error?
