I am wondering if anyone has run into this.  I am logged in as the Administrator for our DNN site (v 3.2.2).  I am attempting to edit and save the Stylesheet using the Stylesheet Editor feature found at http://www.<oursite>.com/Admin/SiteSettings/tabid/39/Default.aspx.  I can edit the file displayed (the portal.css file).  However upon clicking the link to Save Stylesheet, I get the error message saying:

An error has occurred.
Error: Site Settings is currently unavailable.

I looked in the Log Viewer http://www.<oursite>.com/Admin/LogViewer/tabid/48/Default.aspx and find an exception reported that contains the following:

DefaultDataProvider: DotNetNuke.Data.SqlDataProvider, DotNetNuke.SqlDataProvider
InnerException: Invalid File or Directory attributes value.
Message: DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Invalid File or Directory attributes value. ---> System.ArgumentException: Invalid File or Directory attributes value. at System.IO.File.SetAttributes(String path, FileAttributes fileAttributes) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.PortalManagement.SiteSettings.cmdSave_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

I am not sure where to go with this.  I can add modules and pages w/o a problem so I know the permissions should be correct.  Any help or ideas would be appreciated.  I suppose I could brute force the change by editing the portal.css directly on the file system going around the DNN interface for Admin but I would prefer to know what has happened.

Thanks in advance.

you might check wether the file permissions on the physical path that file is saved are correctly set. (/portals/[portalid]), or maybe even the permissions on that particular file (portal.css). Is it marked readonly maybe in windows?

I also have the 'Site Settings not Available' error on 2 DNN4.4 portals (upgraded from 4.3.4)

From the log;

Error: Site Settings is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: c:\hosting\webhost\member\xxxx\Admin\Portal\SiteSettings.ascx.vb(786): error BC30516: Overload resolution failed because no accessible 'UpdatePortalInfo' accepts this number of arguments. --->

Any ideas?

Regards
Nick
