I succeed open the Lists table in design view (in VS2005), but can't find any option to open the table so I can see all individual entries in the table. I'm quite used to MS Access, where it's easy to swap between design and open view.

right click the table and select "open". you can also use MS Access to connect to your database and edit the records from inside.

I cant find an option to open the table at all in neither Mangement Studio or in VS2005 Pro Ed. Access answer "unknown file type".

In management studio, you need to open the database and navigate to the tables. on the table name do a right click and "display table".

In access you need to create a "new project from existing data" and connect to your db.
