I had DNN 3.0.13 installed, running Gammacon's UDT 1.0.2, the table worked some times, then others gave me the error in the subject.

I upgraded to DNN 3.1.1 last week, which comes with the UDT as a core module.  Tried using the core module UDT and can create columns, but cannot add any rows.

Deleted the Core UDT, and installed from Gammacon's website UDT v 1.1.2.

Same error.  I went into my DB and saw that the table names had changed from the core module (had Gammacon in front of the table names)...also noticed that these new tables DID NOT have relationships between the 3. (??).   Completely deleted the tables, deleted the Desktop/GammaconUTD directory, and deleted module definition.  Reinstalled.  Same Problem.

Error details:
Error: Edit User Defined Table is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at gammacon.DNN.Modules.UserDefinedTable.EditUserDefinedTable.SetControlValue(Control ctl, String fieldtype, String value) at gammacon.DNN.Modules.UserDefinedTable.EditUserDefinedTable.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

HELP!

Chris,

first: gammacon.UDT is derived from core UDT, but uses its own table structure (as any module with modified structures should do). There is a crossgrade script available, if you want to use gammacon.UDT and keep your data from core module 3.0.x/3.1.x

second: thanks for pointing out missing references in gammacon.UDT, we will have a look at it and publish an update ASAP.

third: but this should not be your problem. Do you use Database Owner other than DBO or object qualifier?

Try to remove the module from all tabs, clear the recycle bin, delete gammacon.UDT, check the tables ModuleDefinitions, TabModuleDefinitions, ModuleSettings and TabModuleSettings for possible leftovers, also the gammacon tables should be removed. Re-install the module and check for install errors. If everything is ok, add the module to a page.

Please contact me directly, if there are still issues.

Cheers from Germany,
Sebastian Leupold
