Is it possible to add a column "number of download"

Hello,

In the table, I put a column for a small image of the document, and then, a column with the link to the file.
Is there any possibility to track the number of download (how many people downloaded the files) and to display it ? (same functionnality than Repository in fact, but with the repository, I can not add column as I wish, like a column author - editable field and not automatic field).

we have disabled tracking and logging due to the issue, that the dotnetnuke urlTracking control does not easily allow to distinguish between multiple tracking URL per row (which is easily possible with UDT). You might be able to modify the module enabling the tracking/logging feature and add a function displaying the download number.

I would start to extend the evaluation of Calculated columns with a preprocessed function "FileSize([fieldname])" that evaluated the value of field [fieldname] as file entry, retrieves the tracking number for it from file tracking table and inserts it into the string. Besides you need to alter the settings in the URL control call to enable tracking.

I would do nearly the same, but don't extend "Calculated Column", extend "Download" instead.

The main issue will be performance, as you need to retrieve the tracking number counts for each "Download" typed cell.
