Hey Experts.  In your estimate, with someone having a general C# and .NET background but ZERO DotNetNuke background, how many days or hours should someone be able to produce the following?

"Create a DotNetNuke module. The module should have a standard view control that displays some sort of list. The module should have an edit control that allows for adding new elements to the list, as well as editing current ones. The module should also have some sort of admin/settings control that somehow changes the display of the list in the view control. "

Thanks.

I would say if you read over adefwebserver tuts and look at some of the other resources around you should be able to build a module (maybe not with a lot of bling bling in it) in a day(8 hours) or so - sounds like this might be some sort of links module and I rebuilt the one I used in about 6 hours but I used the current links table(s)

I think 8 hours is a bit optimistic if the user has zero DNN experience - they need to understand all the basic concepts that we take for granted (portals/pages/ObjectQualifiers/skinning etc) and not just module architecture. I would say 2-3 days for a complete beginner with testing/localization and all the bells and whistles.

Any beginners want to prove it?  ;)

Hehe - I just began today building my first own module. Yesterday I made a skin :)
My problem is just, that I dont find any tutorials for dnn 4.0, which i am using, (only 3.x and 4.3x).

If you have some kind of tutorial for me, i will report how long it took to learn the module-developing-basics :)
