I have a running site to discountasp.net and I want to upgrade it to version 4.4.0 . I have backed up everything to local hard disk. Can you please give me the clean steps to perform this upgrade without errors? I would greatly appreciate if you answer me soon.

Thanks

There are plenty of resources discussing the upgrade steps. I even blogged about it just last week...

Thanks for the reply Chris. I ve read your blogs very carefully. Yet, I have a question. The Upgrade package does not includes a web.config file, juse the release.config. On the other hand, the install package has both. In your opinion, should I use the upgrade package or the install? I am using WinMerge to compare my old web.config with the new one, and I will copy the required machine key etc to the new one. Then I must copy all folders to the site.

Please, I would like you to explain which version to use. Upgrade or Install ?????

Thanks in advance
