Im am starting an affiliate site dedicated to offering reveiews of several product that ultimately guides my potential customers to a particular product/service. I have been given a great deal of advise but was either unfruitful or over my head. I need to know where to go to or how I can create this site. I don't know any code. I am willing to pay someone to create the site I am hoping for, but am also willing to do it myself if it is possible.  I know that I need to buy a domain name and hosting. I also know the marketing aspect of the business, so my only area of ignorance is web design/code. Where do I start or go to for this help? Thanks

From what I read, you need assistance with 3 aspects, to get your site running:

  • Design: have a look at www.snowcovered.com or www.xd.com.au for available skins ready to use, besides, there are designers available to create custom skins according to your CI.
  • Modules: you need to specify, what features you need and look for an appropriate module. there are anumber of simple modules included with DotNetNuke distribution as well as more advanced ones and others are only available for download at www.dotnetnuke.com. Besides there are 3rd party modules from various sources (e.g. commercial modules from www.snowcovered.com and a number of free modules are listed at www.cathal.co.uk).
  • Advisory/Support: depending on the value of your time, it might be useful, to get professional advisory when planning and setting up your portal. There are various experts around, that offer these services, like my own company ;)
