Hi everybody,

I would like to split Calendar and list of events into 2 modules to have more possibilities of page layout.

Did someone have already done this improvement?

Is it in the future projet of the Events Project Team?

Thanks

WG

Hi William.  Are you talking about the list below the Calendar, when you select a specific date on the calendar?

There is already a separate list function.  If you drop another instance of the Event Module on a page, you can set it up to "List Mode" and point to another already existing Event Instance.  See tje "Event List Settings" option "Enable List Mode" on the Module Admin Page.   Hope this helps.

Great, it's exactly what I needed. I tried to use these options but it didn't work anyway now it's ok!!

Thank you Alan !

I have just done something like this (and am still working on parts of it)... basically, I've added the ability to select from a list of templates for how you want the Events displayed (simplelist, detailedlist, calendarview, gridview). It required some changes to the Events code but not a lot.

Another thing I wrote was a MiniCalendar module (using existing code) which when placed on the same page as the events module allows users to Select a specific day, month, or date range and then the Events module will then display events for the selection. This is similar to what was EventMonth but is a lot more flexible as the two are no longer tightly coupled.

I'd love to get these changes incorporated into the code module but am waiting for client approval before I can make the code available.

As for the existing list, it's pretty limited... display options are limited and, a module set to list mode doesn't allow for events to be added nor is access to the other menu options enabled.

Thanks David for all these informations.

I'm very interested by your work and I think a lot of DNN users too.

I hope your client will give you the right to share your work with the DNN community.

I'm waiting for some news....
