I designed a dnn website on my laptop. I am working with Windows XP, IIS 5.1, ASP.NET 2.0 and DNN4.3.6.

Now I want to install the website on our server. The server works with Windows 2003, IIS 6.0, ASP.NET 2.0.
The following steps are made:
- Copy the DNN directory to the server,
- Copy the SQL database to our server and attach it,
- Setup permissions of the DNN directory,
- Setup IIS.

First I couldn't select ASP.NET 2.0 inside IIS 6.0. After re-register ASP.NET 2.0 the select was made automatically.

When opening the website the following error occures:

Server Error in '/FirstWebsite' Application.

Security Exception

Hi Elwin,
I have the exact same error message right in front of me.
I did all the steps based on the guide as also you mentioned. But I don't know what's the real problem.

Have you solved it by any chance?

Thanks,

I hope somebody can help me so I can set my website live.

Thanks in advance.

The security exception error is solved. If medium trust is needed the development.config must be used as web.config.

The home page is shown now but I can't log in. If somebody knows a solution, let me know.
