Orignially I configured my default http alias to be http://mysite.site.com, I now update my DNS records and now everyone can resolve to www.site.com, so, I added www.site.com, however, when you access the dnn portabl via www.site.com you cannot login properly.  You login and then you're redirected to the home page.  I can only login when accessing the site via the original http alias name, that being http://mysite.site.com .  How can I fix this?

Try restarting your web application by putting a small change in web.config, something like a space in a comment, then save.

Is there a difference between changing the web.config and go into Host settings > [Restart Application]?
The second option seems easier....

nope, host settings > restart application just touches the web.config and reloads the page, so the app restarts. Restart Application was introduced in 4.3.6 i think...

Right, Host > restart application is using a method in the core code that I added when I was on the core team.

It "touches" the web.config and is a lot easier. I just didn't mention it because it is new and I didn't know what version was being used.
