Hi there,

I am new to DotNetNuke, so a maybe stuped guestion.

I installed version 4.4 successfully.

I am using windows 2003, sql server 2005 and a virtual directory to the site on my laptop.

After I got the successfull report, I was presented with a default page with some links.

To configure it I must logon as admin with password dnnadmin I guess.

I did this... no login error (admin indeed is in database) but page does not change or says that I did log in.  Strange...

So I installed it but can't configure the portal.

Has anybody experienced the same problem?

Can anyone get me on the right track?

Thanks in advance

Sebastian,

thanks. You have given me valuable input.

I did the following:

- I cleaned 2 cookies and tried it .... no luck

- I cleaned the cookies again and used the host/dnnhost login... no luck but...

I suddenly remembered that I had problems with cookies before and that was caused by the zonelabs firewall I run on my laptop.  So I shutdown zonelabs, removed the cookies and tried again... Success!!!!

So problem solved and back to the real work now.

But I still don't know how to use zonelabs to avoid all these cookies problems.

Thanks again and hopefully I may still ask your help and support in the future.

Alex.

I had the same issue.  Go to Zone Alarm and click Privacy.  Turn off cookie control.

Also turn off ad blocker because it will remove some header graphics.
