maybe a silly question, but did you in fact create a second portal in dnn?

Not silly at all but yes I do have both portals defined. First portal has 2 aliases:

www.MyActualHostingSite.com/DNN and www.MyFirstPortal.com

2nd portal has www.MyOtherPortal.com as the alias.

DNS servers point the hosting URL as wella s the other 2 portal URLs all to the same servers.

My GoDaddy control panel sets the paths for the 2 portals to the DNN subdir.

When I browse to either portal URL not only do I get the first portal each time but now I also get "www.MyActualHostingSite.com/DNN" in the title bar and status line whereas at least with domain forwarding the title bar showed the portal URL not the hosting URL.

Is one supposed to merely point to the hosting server with the DNS aname record rather than the DNN subdir? That is my impression and then one is supposed to use IIS (or the GoDaddy CP) to orient a particular URL to a particular hosting path which is what I feel I have done yet can't get the second portal to display anything.

Thanks, Dave

I found out that I am getting a 302 redirect rather than getting sent directly to the server. THis would explain why both my portals URLs go to the same DNN portal but I can't figure out how to get GoDaddy to send both my portal URLs to the server rather than redirect them to the DNN directory under the hosting URL. Ideas???

Thanks, Dave
