I have a site that has a very dark background with white text.  It is very hard to see black text on a dark background.  In the css I can change the body to #body and the background of the html editor is white, but the text is white so I cannot see the text that way either.  I am trying to find a way to change the default background and text colors of the default html text editor to be a dark background with white text, to match the site.

Thank you for any help...
Chas

Salar, i guess you stopped reading at the subject....

What you linked to does not fix my problem.  I did state that I had used the #body...which makes the html editor have a white background.  The text is also white, so using the #body does not work for me.

Let me rephrase my question please.

How do you change the default font color for the html editor?

The problem is this:

Not using the #body in my css = html editor background to be the page background.  This would be fine, however the default text color of the html editor is black, and it is very difficult to see what you are typing in black on a very dark blue background.  Once the text has been typed, I can apply a style to the text of "Normal" which is white and I can read everything ok.  It's initally putting the content into the html editor that is nearly impossible.

Using the #body in my css = html editor background is white.  Once I have typed in my copy and apply the style "Normal" to the text which is white...I cannot see anything in the html editor.

So, is there a way through style sheets or something that I can change the default font color that the html editor displays to white?

I apologize for not being thorough in my initial post.

Thanks again for any help...

Salar, I understand you being short with your post when the same questions get posted over and over...I do try to search out answers on google, blogs, friends that mess with dnn whatever before I come and ask you guys.  If this one is so easy and I am just not seeing the forest for the trees I apologize.

My workaround is not a solution; however, in most of our custom designs our customers are happy with the result.

We dont necessary make the background for the admin skin white. Especially if the font is white. we would in that case do #ccc or #666  - The idea is to make the issue acceptable by the content editor.

In our skins we are likely to have a black background skin with couple of containers with grey background. I understand why the maker of FTB (john) changed the old way that was white only to Body background. which works if the background was black. However I appreciate that the container could be white or grey. which means the text will not be right for one of the conditions. The background colour for the admin skin should be a colour that does not conflict with any other colour in your skin or container.

I am not sure if I explain myself well. But I hope you follow.

I understand what you are explaining.  Thanks again, and I will work around it.  I really do appreciate all the help and input at this site.
