Hi All,

I read the instruction of installing DNN in my local machine. One of the step is to set the {Server}/NetworkService user account must have Read, Write, and Change Controlof the root website directory and subdirectories (this allows the application to create files and folders)

My question is how to do that?

Thanks in advance.

If you're local machine is XP you'll need the ASPNET user, and Network Service on a 2k3 machine.

Right click on the folder, choose the security tab, and add the network service user giving them full control.

If you don't see a security option you need to enable file security, I believe it's a checkbox under the folder settings in windows explorer.

I am using Windows Media Center and I don't see any security tab in the folder's properties.

Any help would be greatly appreciate.
