Hi All,

I deployed a  DNN 3.5.5  and everything works almost write, except retreiving the lost passwords.

If you enter my username in the Retreive password screen I get a "Pasword has been send" but no email arrives in my inbox.

The Newsletter, Feedback module, they all work fine ad send emai. The SMTP test is also successfull.

I looked in the web.config  and retreivepassword is set to true.

What did I missed ? Any thoughts!

Is your membership provider configured to store passwords as HASHED instead of ENCRYPTED?  HASHED passwords are one-way encrypted and the password cannot be recovered.  If this is the case you need to disable password recoverying so that you can instead reset the password to a random password (send via an email).

make sure, you entered a valid email address for the host and admin user specified in host / portal settings.

The passwordFormat is Encrypted and there is a valid email in the Host settings.

Not sure if it related but there is no email sent when a new user registers.

Are there any other settings ?
