Excellent! FYI, this worked for me without the need to add the whitespace filter change. I'm running 4.4.1, although not sure if that matters.

G-Hunter, ONE MILLION thanks for this tip ! I am waiting an answer to my problem for days, and suddenly, I found your post + solution which solved my problems. CONGRATULATIONS.

Same for me, it was not necessary to change the whitespace filter options.
This thread must be sticked at the top of the forum please...

I speak too fast... For me, it creates additionnal problems, worse than before, because I have plenty of error exception, etc...

See : http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/ForumsDotNetNuke/tabid/795/mid/2108/threadid/104421/scope/posts/Default.aspx#110689

I can not remove compression or remove the setting I have put, because I have an error each time I try to modify the host settings... :-(
Now, I will switch back to my previous backup.

Gary's solution seems to have worked fine. Users can download files now.

I have not clicked the 'Restart Application' button cause its kind of scary, hehe.  What does it actually do?

Thanks
