I have a DNN website located at http://mydomain.com/sub. That is my only DNN site and is the parent. I'm wanting to create a new DNN site on my root directory at http://mydomain.com and have that as the parent and /sub as a child portal. Is this possible?

I'm currently running 4.3.02 and am looking to upgrade. How would you recommend I go about getting all this squared away?

this is possible, just go to IIS settings, create a web site (not virtual directory) pointing to the dnn installation directory and adopt the portal alias inside DotNetNuke. You can now remove the other alias, remove the virtual directory and create the child directory as needed.

Thank you for your reply! I think I understand what you are saying.

Would it be most advantageous to upgrade to the latest version of DNN before I go through with any of this?

if you are really running 4.3.2, you should upgrade ASAP due to severe security issues of that version. you can upgrade to either 4.3.7 or 4.4.0

My apologies, I'm running 4.0.3. How does it change the steps outlined if I am hosted on a remote server and I don't have much control of IIS?
