How do I give my module the ability to be editable without it taking on the administrative skin? Do I have to create a whole new module just for editing?

The basics of the module is that it allows users to create a profile page with information about them. There are edit links that when clicked will open up the module into edit mode and allow the user to edit his information.

Example page for ViewUserProfile.ascx

[edit user info] <---------------------- the edit link when clicked opens up a EditUserProfile.ascx for editing.
first name: xxxxx
last name: xxxxx
birthdate: mm/dd/yyyy
favorites: ..., ...., ...., ...

Any ideas on how to skin the edit mode so that it doesn't take on the administrative skin?
thanks
