I went to your site and I see a number of errors.

First off, when you say you cannot edit, are you saying there are errors when you try, the menu is not there at all so you cannot click the edit menu item, or what?

Second, the errors I am seeing are errors loading data in the modules. In the Web.Config there are two locations where you can add a SQL Connection String.  Did you configure both?

first off, thank you so much for your time and posting...although posts here take entirely to long to be posted due to the authorization process  the errors are in full detail once logged in as host..each the same error within the modules. i only see the full description of the errors when logged in as host..and like i said the description is where the content would be within the module itself.

here is the error that appears in each module :

Error: Site Menu is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server) ---> System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. i have made sure that remote connections is enabled in for the database in the properties in SQL server... here are my connection strings from my web.config file (which i copied from a post off these forums)

<connectionStrings>

<add name="SiteSqlServer" connectionString="Data Source=.\SQLExpress;Database=DotNetNuke;uid=******;pwd=*******;Connection Timeout=5" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" />

</connectionStrings>

<appSettings>

<add key="SiteSqlServer" value="Server=SMACK;Database=DotNetNuke;uid=******;pwd=******;" />

I change my uid an pw in this post to *'s to for security purposes as im sure u know.

once again thank you and i hope your able to help me.

It looks like your connection strings are pointing to different SQL Instances?
