Hello Guys,
I am new in DNN community. I just managed to install DNN4 after solving couple of issues. For example, SQL server 2000 was not configured to have mixed mode authentication and hence was having  problem installing the DNN. Anyway, now  it is showing the welcome page but I am not able to login to it either by using the default admin or host id. Its not showing any error message except "Login Failed, remember that Passwords are case sensitive"

I am using IIS6. Please advice me some if you have any clue.

I still couldn't  resolve the problem. Is there anyone who could show me some light? Please.

I have installed dotnetnuke v3 in another machine which is running fine but my login problem is with the version 4. Please help.

Were you able to resolve this issue?  I am having the same problem after having to change some things around in the web.config file.

If you change the web.config after you have installed DNN you have to remember to backup the machine validation keys.  They are generated randomly and used for encrypting user passwords.  If they change you will not be able to log on to any accounts created prior to the change.

so...  if you are a bonehead and forgot to back-up the validation key, what would be the next step to getting the site up and running with a host and admin account again?

Thanks
