I havent seen this bug posted on the forums yet- and if it has- sorry for the double posting.

I realised something was very strange one of my Forum installations after the upgrade to the latest version, I just realised what was happening when looking through 'My Posts' on these DotNetNuke forums.

The Last post logic can not distinguish between years when assessing when the Last post is. Ie, you could have a post from the same date as today, but in 2005 appearing as the Last Post. Ie, today- posts from 2nd-July- 2005 seem to be appearing as the most recent post.

The logic must take accounts of the day and month, but not the year when assessing what the last post is.
I'll keep digging. ?!

This obviously doesnt become apparent until a Forum has been running for over 12 months.

My bug report wasn't quite correct-
Its not that detection of WHICH post is the last post that is incorrect I dont think- it is the label i gives to them.

For example- if the last post was a year and 1 day ago- The forums would display 'Yesterday', and if the last post was a year ago- the forums would display 'Today'

Another oddity with the last post logic that I just noticed was that the last post date and time is updated before it is approved on a reply.

I just replied to a post and it saud needs to be approved before posting - but my name shows up as the last poster, even though my post is not there!!!

Probably been reported before....

If you look on here you should see that most of this is corrected. (I think all of it, but have to verify everything locally still) We have re-written the sprocs to handle things properly and more efficiently. This will be part of the next release (a quick fix follow up) that will be released shortly. (I have it packaged but have some testing to do) It contains about 12 fixes from the .06 release and will be .07. That .07 release will determine if we need a .08 or we can focus on our next big release 3.30 of the module.
