users cannot upload files within a module. They get an error "you do not have permission to upload files to this site"

I have checked file manager, synced everything, all permissions look ok.

I have dam set to user so all they see is myfile/

Does anyone know where permissions are set on the users myfile folder.

There is a folder for users and that is set with the right permissions.

anyone have any ideas?
