Under account settings in Manage Account for Profile there is a public Profile URL: setting. 

This URL is inaccessible, and after a user updates this setting the member directory wants to direct to this profile url.

So 2 issues:

One is the member directory is pointing to the public profile URL only after the profile url is set by a user.  Prior to being set it points to the page that was created to display profiles.

Second is the Public Profile Url page is not being displayed, resource is missing.
