A client of mine (fitness center) is asking for a solution thatll allow them to post news and updates to various pages/sections in their website (Spinning, Crossfit etc.) and have it automatically summarized on the frontpage in separate boxes.Like for Crossfit, they blog their WOD on their page and the administration do announcements about new equipment that's been acquired etc.So basically what they need is a simple module for writing articles and be able to create categories to which they can assign the articles, so that on the frontpage, a summary containing a date an the headline as a link to the full article, can be placed into separate boxes depending on the article category.For now im using the DNN Blog module and it does do the job, however there are things about it that doesn't work too well, like it adds a lot of unnecessary information, like email addr of the author and things like that.Also it cant be fully translated, English words occur all over despite ive translated every single resx file for it.It forces you to add a summary or itll do an auto summary, which cant be deactivated.Ive been trying to find a module thatll work, but so far the ones I find are all too complex and those that aren't, like the "Announcements" module, well they don't have to ability to show "latest posts" on the frontpage thru a separate module.
