Hi, I am trying to install Dnn 4.4.0

I have made a project with starter kit.

and gave full access to the DNN directory, full sharing also.

I am getting this error , tried 4,5 times, but same hell.....

here is the

Now what i can be missing ?? please help, already wasted 3 days on it.

this looks like missing file system permissions for user "Network Service" - or an issue with ASP.Net installation.

configure your portal root security permissions,

if you are using Windows Server2003, use Network Service account and give full control
if you are using Windows XP Pro SP2, use ASP.NET account and give full control

PS: For Windows XP Pro SP2 you may need to disable Simple File Sharing option under Explorer>Tools> Folder Options

I'd have to double check but I think with .NET 2.0 you use Network Service even with WindowsXP.

As to the original posters question, if the previous two posts don't solve your problem then you may have to give the .NET process Read permissions on C:\ and Inetpub if you haven't already.
