I just looked at the error message again and noticed the info about compression at the bottom. Follow the instructions in the second post in this thread to see if it fixes the problem. http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/ForumsDotNetNuke/tabid/795/forumid/54/threadid/99660/scope/posts/Default.aspx

Hi, Mike!

You're a genius!  I unchecked the "use whitespace filter" checkbox, and also
set compression to "None" and now it works.
Oh, by the way for anyone who may be following this thread -- the settings
I changed are in the Performance Settings section, and not in the Compression
Settings as you might at first believe.

Now I just need to fix the problem where filenames with spaces in them don't
get downloaded  with the correct name.  Don't know if it is limited to .PDF doc types only
or not - I haven't done anymore testing, but now that I can download files correctly
I'm off to look into that.

Thanks again!

Bryan

The incorrect filename applies to all filenames. I've never found a way around that with Firefox short of renaming the files and putting an "_" instead of a space.

Thanks, Mike!

Just knowing that gives me a work-around, so I'm now good-to-go!

Your help with these problems is really appreciated!

Thanks again,
Bryan
