Hi, everyone.

I created a test file named TEST.TXT and uploaded it via the Downloads Module,
but when I download it using the link, I get a file that is the same size, but looks like
an .XML file

Here's what the TEST.TXT file looks like:
(created via DOS Edit.)
asbadfkljdas;ljf
test
alfjs;kfj;sdk

The downloaded file looks like:
<html>
    <head>
        <title>Runtim

I did the same thing with the file named .DOC

Now, the file looks correct when I edit it on the
server.

I'm using Firefox 1.5.0.9

Any ideas?

IE6 either gives me an immediate blank page and says "Done", or hangs.

If I do a page-back, I get:

Exception Details: System.Web.HttpException: Server cannot append header after HTTP headers have been sent.

What it's downloading is the actual error file (I can tell that much by the <title>Runtim that you posted) but I can't remember what the full error is and what causes it. My memory is saying that it's either a MIME error (Firefox is extremely picky about MIME associations) or a permission error. What's the full error that is produced? That may jog my memory.

Well, the original text file was only 41 bytes long, and so I'm only getting
41 bytes back downloaded.

I have posted another post that shows a possible (?) error message
when I attempt to download by Internet Explorer

Thanks for the help!
Bryan
