I have read that 4.4.2 will maybe arrive soon... Where is the truth ? Is it worth upgrading 4.3.7 to 4.4.1 or should I wait the 4.4.2 ???

I'm not sure if it's worth the wait or not. If your unsure, I would wait about a week and see what issues get logged in Gemini and check with 3rd party module developers for issues.

Personally, my new philosophy is to not upgrade unless: A.) I need a critical fix  B.)A new feature that I can't live without. After upgrading to 4.4.0, a few of my 3rd party modules started making errors. Since there is no rollback mechanism, and the availability of timely 3rd party patches or updates is unpredictable, I'll be taking a cautioned approach from now on when it comes to upgrading critical sites.

Cheers

Hello ech01,

You say there isn't any rollback mechanism, but couldn't you restore your backed up application and database and go back to your previous version?

Absolutely! The problem is that any new content created doesn't roll back. My point is there is no elegant way to restore. I'm not calling out for a way either (though it would be a nice to have). It's up to the hosts to test upgrades before rolling them out. Shame on me for not testing every feature beyond the basic user functions (can users log in, can admins create pages, modules, roles, files etc...)
