Hi

I need to create a website for someone who runs a small shop. I would like to give them a content management system whereby they can add new stock items to the site, change the details (images/prices) of existing items. Any stock items added can be assigned to a particular category.

Is DNN the right tool to use for something like this?

thanks a lot
andrea

Andieje,
DNN is a very powerful Portal / CMS system that has many uses. If you are planning on giving the user the ability to change their site, then there is some learning that would need to be done by them (same as with any other system). I personally do not hesitate to design DNN sites for users that need this type of system. it saves me tons of time in the long run as well as saves the user money as they can maintain the day to day stuff.

You might want to have a look over at snowcovered.com for e-commerce modules. There are several "stores" available as well as the beta version of our own store project. Any of these should allow your user to manage not only the stock, but the settings as well.
