I added Feedback module to several web pages.

When feedback is posted it shows up on all pages/modules.

My first reaction was that this is a bug. However, I do realise that it may be expected - that admin should maybe use Categories to differentiate between feedback groups. Unfortunately, I was unable to find where to set it. On this forum I've found references to the list of categories, but they must have been made for an earlier version of DNN. I am using 04.03.05.

could you have maybe gone thru the settings of the module once you dropped it and told it to show on all pages? By default the feedback module should only show up on the page on which you drop the module.

With regards to the categories, it was not documented properly in the version you have but they all work the same way. Log in as Host and under the Hosts/List Menu create a new category called categories_feedback (I'm remembering this from memory, but I believe this is correct - otherwise it's category_feedback)... Under this newly created list you can add different categories. Once you do this, if you go back to the settings of your feedback module, you should see the categories you've added start showing up.
In this version of the module, the categories are indeed used to differentiate different feedback groups, but it was not per portal so if you have multiple portals, the same feedback shows up across different portals (which is a big no no!)...

There is a new version which is currently being tested which has a lot of fixes and enhancements to this module. Fortunately there will be an upgrade path for this new version, so  you can start using the version  you have now and then upgrade to the new version once it becomes available.

This post helped me a lot!!!
I thought I was messing things up on my portals when I saw the feedbacks from one portal on another one I was building.

Thanks Sanjay for the explanation and I'll wait until the next version is available.
Juan

No, I didn't.

Try this out - just to be double sure. delete the feedback module from any one of the pages and see whether it dissapears from all the pages. If you've not done much with the module, I would recommend removing it and re-installing and see if your problem still persists.
Please let me know if your problem still persists and we'll try and figure out what's causing the grief.
