It appears that the google bot is not indexing any content past my front page on my DNN site.  http://mitchelsellers.com/ Does anyone know how I can fix this, aside from providing a site map?

Mitchel:

Is your domain or your site new? I forgot where I read it, but I learned during my own Google indexing research for a new site that Google will not start indexing newly submitted sites right away. They have a "Waiting period" that if I remember correctly could be quite long, one or two months. After that your site will be visited regularly by their bot and all pages (that do not require authentication) will be indexed.

I think Google has that waiting period policy to prevent scammers/phishers from creating many sites that run illegally for short periods of time until they are discovered and have to create new ones.

Yes, the domain is new.  The interesting part is that they have indexed my main page.  I found this out by doing a site:mitchelsellers.com search, but no other pages have been touched....

Mitchel:

That is indeed interesting, but I have to admit that I never tested using the "site:" notation when doing the testing for the new site I did. I was only using keywords that were pretty unique for the site (ie: college park judo). It took a while for Google to index the site whereas MSN and Yahoo indexed it right away. Now if you Google on those three words it appears at the top of the results.

By the way, have you looked in your logs? For instance, when I check my log it shows many entries like the one below, but with different TabID numbers for the different Tabs or pages:

URL: http://www.collegeparkjudo.org/Default.aspx?TabId=56
UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Googlebot/2.1; +http://www.google.com/bot.html)

Aside from waiting a while, I don't know what else to tell you, the site is running 3.1.1 by the way.

I have a feeling it is just going to take a while.  My previous domain for the exact same site give me multiple entries.  So I'm just going to wait peacefully and let google index it.

Thanks for your feedback, I didn't even think to look in the logs....
