Thanks for the reply Mitchel.  I have copied the files a number of times, and blew away the db every time as well, however, with the same result.  The install seems to 'almost' complete, because I can launch the site and I get an empty home page.  However, I'm sure the home page is supposed to have some welcome information, password info, etc.  Mine looks like this: www.leveretts.com/portal.  Neither the admin nor the host logins work, so the portal is pretty much useless as far as I can tell.

Very interesting, it looks like it died just before creating the modules, I am not sure exactly what caused it, however there is one thing you could try to get it working...

Use the "Register" link to create a new account.  See if you can login with that account.  If you can, then use the instructions in my blog post that explains how to reset the password of an ASP.NET 2.0 user account via the database. (Link to my site in my signature).

Yes, it is a round about way, but if the install is good enough to login to, you can most likely finish configuration in admin mode by forcefully setting a password.

Just wanted to add that I received the exact same error. Yet, when I went to the home page, everything seemed to work correctly. I logged in with the admin account, created users, etc.

I'm going to retract that last post, as I am now getting security errors. It seems there is a LONG, ongoing post about DotNetNuke and 1and1 hosting.
