What do you have set to caching and compression settings in the host/site settings

Tried all combinations of caching, but compression has only been left at GZip

If you turn off compression your errors should go away.

Still getting "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error when trying to create a new thread. Seems to work fine when using the other machine at home. That's with compression turned off.

Oh well, thought I'd finally got it working then as well.

Just in case there's any more info missing that test was done under the following conditions:

Page State Persistence : Page
Module Caching Method : Memory
Performance Setting : Heavy Caching
Compression Setting : No compression
