You've got me.  All the actual official information would come from Chris.  I can say we are gathering requirments and planing it out right now though and there are more people working on it now than ever before. 6 instead of just Chris.  I know that I plan to commit as many cycles as I can to getting a bug free version out.  Since one of my commitments at work is administration and development of the DNN website I can take whole work days to work on code for the Gallery.  That should help.

Adeian:

For the record your work is greatly appreciated.

Please pass on to the others in the team that communications with the community are very important.  Even if it is not good news all the time, we do not appreciate it when our questions are intentionally ignored.  If a critical member has a situation out of his control and he can no longer work in the project (something totally understandable) then say so and so left and there will be a delay.  There is no excuse to leave the project in the dark for a year with no communications whatsoever.  That was just bad project management.

Thanks again.

Carlos

The communication now is almost a month old but it's the same problem. I'm working now on DNN 4.5.1 systems and we're using the module. When we get a new DNN release we must convert the gallery code to vs2005, sometimes we must change the code and last but not least writing a new package for a proper installation.
We've a german translation for the 3.0.12 and we intend independently of the state of the project now to share resource for the community but the project seems for me much more than uncertain.

So we really invest a lot of time to integrate that module but we've no chance to efficient develop with this module on modern DNN releases (at least there should be a VS2005 source edition with DNN 4.5).
Please could the project leaders frankly says us for the state of the project:
It's now a living project and worth investing our time on the gallery or must we look for alternatives regarding the future DNN releases (compatibility)?

The gallery team has decided to not wait until the big move to the DAL is completed and instead go with my version of the patched DNN 4.x (.Net 2.0) version of the gallery.  This version has been put together and has/will be submitted to the offical release process for DNN.  So as soon as it has "cleared" the release process you should see it.

Don't give up, hope is just around the corner.
