I am fairly new to DNN and am trying to create a new portal under our existing Host. I was not involved with the set up of the initial install of DNN at our location and did not create any of the existing portals.  I am now needed to add a new portal and it doesn't seem to do anything for me.  I am defined as a SuperUser Account and that is how I am logging in.  When I go to Host Portals and then choose the Add New Portal option, complete the required informations and then press the Create Portal button,  I get nothing.  I was expecting to see a new folder in the directory for my new portal but I do not see it anywhere.   Also, the note at the bottom of the create portal screen tells me  that I will need to login using the Admistrator information specified above once the portal is created.  I had entered myself in to the user information 'above' and  have logged out and back in and yet I still do not see anything.   What amd I doing wrong?

I am sure I am doing something really simple incorrectly.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Are you possibly not filling out one of the required fields for creating a portal, and then button isn't working because there's a red error message up higher on the screen telling you to fill in more information?

Sort of. :)  I did finally figured it out.  My main issue was that I was not logged in to my host default site when I tried to create the child.  I was logged into one of the existing children.  I personally do not know if the child portals I tried to create this way are hanging out there in never never land or not, but when I went back to the main host default site (the parent site) and then created a child it let me.   First it told me that the userid I was creating the portal for (which was myself) already existed.  This was a red message at the top you are talking about.  I then had to create it with a different userid besides myself and it worked.   Any idea why I can't create multiple portals with myself being the administrator?
