Hi peeps.
I'm having trouble getting my local copy of DNN 4.3.5 to run online.
My ISP (webhostforasp) installed a backup of my local database and I've copied up any new files and folders that I've written myself.  For the most part the site seems to be working, I can log in as host and click on options like Site Settings and it works ok but when I click on Admin/User Accounts and a couple of other optins like Log Viewer I get the following error on a completely blank page with a strange URL...

http://www.mysite.com/Default.aspx?tabid=42&error=Value+cannot+be+null.%0d%0aParameter+name%3a+format&content=0

An error has occurred.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.PageLoadException: Value cannot be null. Parameter name: format ---> System.ArgumentNullException: Value cannot be null. Parameter name: format at System.String.Format(IFormatProvider provider, String format, Object[] args) at DotNetNuke.UI.WebControls.PagingControl.CreateChildControls() at System.Web.UI.Control.EnsureChildControls() at System.Web.UI.Control.PreRenderRecursiveInternal() at System.Web.UI.Control.PreRenderRecursiveInternal() at System.Web.UI.Control.PreRenderRecursiveInternal() at System.Web.UI.Control.PreRenderRecursiveInternal() at System.Web.UI.Control.PreRenderRecursiveInternal() at System.Web.UI.Control.PreRenderRecursiveInternal() at System.Web.UI.Control.PreRenderRecursiveInternal() at System.Web.UI.Control.PreRenderRecursiveInternal() at System.Web.UI.Control.PreRenderRecursiveInternal() at System.Web.UI.Control.PreRenderRecursiveInternal() at System.Web.UI.Control.PreRenderRecursiveInternal() at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

More Information;
When I press F5 to test the app locally I don't have the problem but when I publish the site to the localhost I do have the problem.  So I have been copying the localhost problem up to the online server.
I have tried cleaning the solution, rebuilding, deleting what's on my IIS and then republishing but the problem lives on.
So what is happening between the F5 test and compilation?

Let me ask you something just in case because I have seen this before.  Are you using Visual Studio to actually develop a new module?  Bear in mind that to just install DNN you do not need the source version, you don't need to compile it either.  The install version is ready to go and it is the one you should be using for deployment to your hosted environment.

Yes Carlos I have heavily modified the Store Module for my own use and created some new modules.
My prototype was working online until I accidently deleteded it.  Now getting it reinstated is hard work.
I think my source files have become corrupt somehow because I copied them from this pc to a laptop and when I recompiled and redeployed on the laptop I get the same error.
My next attempt will be to start a new installation of DNN 4.3.5 and copy over my DLLs.

Here's hoping!

In the end I couldn't find the solution so what I've done is installed the latest version (4.4.1) and carried over all of my changes in stages testing all the way.  It's taking up quite a few evenings but at least it's working again.  :0/
