Hi Everyone,

Is there any ETA on the notification facility working in the Forums module?

"It works now"

Curiously it isn't working for me. I'm using 3.20.08. I've checked that SMTP is configured correctly in the host (the test email in the host comes through fine). I've setup a user and requested notification emails when fora are posted to, and I still don't get any notifications.

I think I've worked out what was wrong in my case. I was testing it by posting as the user who receives notifications, but I think maybe you don't get notified of your own messages (that would make sense). Is that right? You only get other people's posts? Do you get the notification if another user has the same email as you, eg support@mysite.com?
