Hi,

I'm new to DNN and I'm using GoDaddy web hosting.  Can someone help me with how to make DNN to be on the main directory.  It won't let me install DNN unless I create a subdirectory.  Any GoDaddy user out there that can help me with this matter.  Thanks!!

You have to make a 301 page for the index as GoDaddy makes you put dotnetnuke in a seperate directory unless you set it up yourself.

on the root, upload a default.htm or index.htm file with this (minimal) contents:
(you have to replace "portal" with your "root" dnn portal folder name)

<html>
<head>
    <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;url=portal/default.aspx">
</head>
<body>
</body>
</html>

I'm using 4.4.1 and installed dnn on Godaddy root. You need to know some information about directory permissions and file permissions. You can check my portal at www.mikroproje.com, I'll post a tutorial about how to install dnn on godaddy root.

I certainly look forward to your tutorial.  I have several clients hosted at GoDaddy and I want to set them up with DNN.  The first time I installed DNN, I received all kinds of dire - but vague - warnings about putting DNN in the root.
