To workaround the problem it is required to rename DotNetNuke App_GlobalResources  folder (e.g. to Dnn_GlobalResources) and change the constant ApplicationResourceDirectory in  DNNLibrary\Components\Localization\Localization.vb to the same name, e.g.

Public Const ApplicationResourceDirectory As String = "~/Dnn_GlobalResources"

See issue report.

I created my local site with the DotNetNuke Starter Kit 4.0.2 and VS2005.  My site works fine on the local install, but it is not working due to the Publish error stated in this thread.  I understand I have to rename the 'App_GlobalResources' folder.  But where is the Localization.vb file located?

Thanks,

Jonathan

You need to cnange the code in Library (DotNetNuke.dll assembly).

1.Download 4.0.2 source code.

2. Change file Library\Components\Localization\Localization.vb

3. Build source library project.

4. Copy updated DotNetNuke.dll to your DNN web site bin directory(backup your existing DotNetNuke.dll just in case).

Hope it helps.

3. Build source library project.

I don`t get it to work with Visual Studio 2005. It always fails to build, don`t know what I do wrong and also I am quite new to all this stuff. I hope someone is patient enough to help me out and has a "how to" for me.

thx a lot

You shoul have DotNetNuke.sln file in the root of the 4.0.2 source installation.

Open it in VS 2005. (It includes 31 projects).

Build all of them or select DotNetNuke.library and build it.

If you need more help, post your errors.
