Found the problem and it was one of those "it's so simple, why didn't I think of it before?".

I also have SQL Server 2005 Full on the system and SQL Server was set to "Windows Authentication".  Changed it to mixed mode and problem disappeared.

Hi,

I have installed dotnetnuke starter kit 4.9.X version. It is working fine with default web server of asp.net 2.0. But when i am trying to run it with IIS it is not working. I am creating new donetnuke website1. I m getting the install page but when i choosed any installation mode like typical // custom// Auto and click next. In the next page,

how to resolve it ? any help would be appreciated. I have given read write directory browse etc all rights for the virtual directory. also i give full control to asp.net user,IUSER_machinename and network service user. No use. pls help me
