Hi,

I encountered this very issue. For a moment even my Host account couldn't see "Edit Text". Tabbing between 'View' and 'Edit' mode didn't do anything and neither did 'Design' mode.

I set the Site Settings > Advanced > Other > Administrator user back and forth between new users and existing users and eventually got my host account working after it broke but I still cannot get new administrative users the 'Edit Text' menu option on any module dropped into a page.

This appears to be a defect.

CORRECTION:

I tested this again and found that it might have been an issue of getting a click ahead of the 'View' / 'Edit' options while trying to turn 'Design' mode on.

Taking your time, click on 'View'. Then when you are in view mode click 'Edit' again and *wait* for it to change over.

THEN hit 'Design' so that the + symbol changes to a - symbol. When you see 'Edit' and 'Design -' you should be able to click 'Edit Text' etc.

Wow! I was just wondering what happened in between yesterday and today and why i couldn't see 'edit text ' no matter what I did. Thanks a lot. I was almost sure it was something to do with permissions and was trying out a whole new set of things that obviously weren't working!!!
