That's not bad, but it may take a little more work to integrate it.  You'd have to deal with populating the array from the SQL database.

You could get the same pixelating transition to my script by just adding this line to the head of my code:

<meta http-equiv="Page-Enter" content="progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Pixelate(Duration=2)">

I've implemented it on the banners on my site (for now, anyway) if you'd like to see a sample
