I was successful in installing and using v4.5.1 in on my Win XP SP2 local machine so I got brave and installed v4.5.1 on our company Win 2003 server. The installation went perfectly (all tests passed during the installation) and the home page gets displayed. When I try to login I immediately get:

"Server Application Unavailable

The web application you are attempting to access on this web server is currently unavailable."

Other web applications on the server run ok. When I try to Browse the site in IIS I get the under construction page stating that there isn't a default page.

The default website is empty  (I should get the under construction message and I do). The DotNetNuke Site is a site on the D: drive of the server and I'm using port 8002 to get to it.

Thanks.

Jon.

if you use source package, make sure to point the web site / virtual directory to physical subfolder "website".

In IIS settings make sure, to add default.aspx as default document and choose ASP.Net version 2.0
