HyperLink1.NavigateUrl = this.Request.Url.ToString() + "#";

This works better sorry... Page should not be reloaded but will scroll back to top  :-)

I think you should use the javascript function on the OnClick function of hyperlink like this

Onclick="return functionName(any parameter);".

If method will return false then page should not post back to server.

I have tried this many times in ASP.Net 2.0. But I am not sure whether it will work in DNN or not.

I've tried that, but for some reason it doesn't work with the HyperLink server control.
The only way I could get it to work is by using a client side anchor...
