Hi,

I am fed up with 1and1 support, they have clearly said that their shared hosting plans don't support DNN at all and that I will have to get a Dedicated Server plan if I want to use DNN.

I would like to move to another provider, please recommend some.

I want to know what are the minimum requirements for DNN 4.4.1 and 4.5.1

ASP - 1.1 or 2.0

SQL 2000 or 2005

etc...

Thank you

Vishal

  • Windows 2000 Server or Win 2003 Server
  • ASP 2.0 is required
  • SQL2000, SQL 2005 or SQL Express work either or without limitations, calculate at least 200 MB for a medium sized site
  • Make sure to have enough RAM (not a vserver with 256 K assured)

still appears this error occurs even MONTHS after it was reported.  c'mon! :-)  this is a "nothing special" install.  does anyone really test?  I've been using dnn since 1.0.10 and very familiar with installations and the mess DNN is STILL in.  don't bother replying, i'll figure this sh*t out myself.  (its sad, because (again) was hopeful and again I'm let down by such a simple task.)

no log exists.

ASP 2.0 / SQL2000  clean install.
