I figured out you can not use a number to start the in the objectQualifier name (i.e. 4everDNN_) once changed to DNN4ever_ everything worked as expected.

This was most likely my problem too then.  My OQ was "3dsmaxzone" ... I can't test it again to see for certain because I already achieved the fix with the dev.config file, but I'm sure that was it.

I did ask before though--  Does anyone know if there is anything that should be changed in the web.config (when used from development.config) before I put the site live?  Should I just use WinMerge and accept what it suggests as changes or what?  I don't want any security problems if I can avoid them.  Thanks!

Hi

I have same problem but i solved it 100%.

1. Go to sqlserver user login properties >> user mapping >> make user db_owner for required DB

2. In DNN installation wizard select db_owner option and write 'dbo' in object qualifier field.

3. Click next now all scripts will run 100%.

Hopefully it will solve issue.

Hi Michael,

Thanks for the help, as it turns out I did not have enough permissions (so it worked when I enabled db_owner for SQL Server)

Ok.. I appear to have all access permissions set.. when I run the web-based install script, it successfully adds one table (dnn_Version) and a few stored procedures (dnn_FindDatabaseVersion, dnn_FindDatabaseVersion, dnn_FindDatabaseVersion), and stops with a javascript error (something like "$ is not defined). I have set what appears to be the correct permissions on my database and user, or the new table/procedures wouldn't have gone in at all, right? I wish this thing could tell me what the SQL error message was! Any help would be welcomed. Thanks!
