Hi all!

I develop a custom module that use a simple class library developed in Framework 1.1.

In the .dnn file I added like a file this .dll, and I include it in the zip file to upload.

Now I set up a testing machine, I install DNN, then I try to upload the module... I got an error, somethng like "Cannot open a closed file....". If I remove from the package the .dll (and from the .dnn file, too) the new module is uploaded.....

I'm asking 2 question.... Could I upload .dll? And, more specific, if the answer is yes, can I upload a .dll developed with the framework 1.1?? (I can recompile it in 2.0....and use it, if the problem is this)

thanks in advance...

I made some uploading tests... I tried compiling my .dll in Framework 2.0, and then uploading it with the rest.... it does not works...

But if I remove that .dll from my package, and from the .dnn file, I upload this way and then I put my dll in the bin folder of the website, it works!!!

My problem is that I can't make a package with all file included.... thing that I would like to do....

hope someone can answer me..

Did you try creating your private assembly using DNN's built in private assembly maker?

When logged in as host -  "Host/Module Definitions/(edit)/Create Private Assembly" ?

I cannot found the "create private assembly" command. Where is it? You write (edit), but which edit command should I click??

You click the pencil to the left of the module you want to create the PA for.

While editing your module definition you should have an option on the modules menu "Create Private Assembly"
